(Hardware-wise is a different story, but if you have warranty on it, and even sometimes when you don't, Valve replaces it for you if it breaks) The Index, while a bit dated, is still the best PCVR headset in its price category (With the exception of the Quest Pro, in my opinion, but since you're having issues with Quest, I'll hardly recommend another Quest XD) and is by far the most reliable headset I've ever used, at least software-wise. There are far better deals on Facebook Marketplace and other resale sites as well, I bought mine for $380, with 10 months of warranty left on it. However, if you sell the Quest 2 for around $200, then buy the $600 refurbished gamestop index, your price will come out to around $400. Okay, this might sound a little crazy, given that the index is known for being a very expensive enthusiast grade headset. It's cheap, (around the same price as the Quest 2) has the exact same panel as is in the Quest 2, and is all-around essentially just a Quest 2 but built for PCVR instead of standalone. While I personally would not recommend this headset solely due to its fixed IPD, If you have the right IPD for it, it could be great for you. Odyssey+ has a somewhat low resolution, and while the Reverb G2 has a considerably higher resolution, the sweet spot and lenses are really not great at all. Samsung Odyssey+ and Reverb G2 are both great headsets, but both have their own different software issues. It's very feature-complete, and done right can be the best wireless experience on the market. It's as close as I've gotten to native SteamVR on Quest. ![]() Option 1: try Virtual Desktop over a dedicated router. All of these comments so far have been either incomplete, or straight up wrong.
